Rob Binns

Rob Binns is the Chief Executive Officer of Hybrid Enterprises LLC, the worldwide exclusive reseller of Lockheed Martin’s Hybrid Airships. Prior to this, Mr. Binns was Chairman & CEO of Global Aviation Holdings Inc., and previously served as its Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Binns was President and Chief Executive Officer of TransMeridian Airlines (a subsidiary of Pegasus Aviation) and previously had been its Chief Financial Officer.  

Mr. Binns was Vice President and Controller for the technical division of Pegasus Aviation and also spent several years with TWA in a variety of positions, including General Auditor. Prior to that he worked as an auditor for the accounting firm of KPMG in London. Mr. Binns began his career with a political lobbying firm in London that specialized in transportation issues. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Kansas and a Master's degree in Political Behavior from Essex University in England. He is a member of the Carter Center Board of Councilors, which serves to advance understanding of and support for The Carter Center and its activities.


 

Brian Bauer

Brian Bauer is the Chief Commercial Officer of Hybrid Enterprises LLC, the worldwide exclusive reseller of Lockheed Martin’s Hybrid Airships. Prior to this, Mr. Bauer served as Global Aviation Holdings, Inc.’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In this position Mr. Bauer had direct responsibility for commercial and government sales for a multimillion-dollar aviation operation that oversaw two commercial airlines. He has wet-leased, sold and operated aircraft in over 120 countries on six continents.  

Prior to joining Global, Mr. Bauer served as President of Evergreen International Airlines, where he was responsible for all aspects of an FAA part 121-cargo airline that wet-leased its twenty 747 freighters to customers around the world. Prior to this position, Mr. Bauer served in a variety of sales and operational management and executive positions at Evergreen International Aviation, including leading the Asian sales team based in China as well as heading the Company’s ground handling subsidiary.


 

Grant Cool

Grant Cool is the Chief Operating Officer of Hybrid Enterprises LLC, the worldwide exclusive reseller of Lockheed Martin’s Hybrid Airships. Prior to this, Dr. Cool was a subject matter expert consultant for Lockheed Martin on the development of its Hybrid Airships. Dr. Cool was the President and Chief Engineer of Kivalliq Marine Exploration in Canada, an Arctic and Antarctic marine exploration, survey and logistics company that served many government and oil and gas companies. Prior to that Dr. Cool was the Director of Business Development of Westaim Ambion/Sherritt in Canada where he managed new product development and production line for nickel catalysts, fuel cells and hydrogen production catalyst for refinery applications. Dr. Cool was the VP-Chief Technical Officer of McComas Industries Inc. in Canada where he built the team and managed the implementation of a new technology for electro-less plating of nickel for aerospace and automotive applications. Dr. Cool holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies.


 

Bill Garrett

Bill Garrett is the Chief Financial Officer of Hybrid Enterprises LLC, the worldwide exclusive reseller of Lockheed Martin’s Hybrid Airships.  Prior to this, Mr. Garrett served as Global Aviation Holdings, Inc’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Mr. Garrett had direct responsibility over all the financial departments in addition to leading the company’s aircraft acquisition and financing functions. Most recently, Mr. Garrett wound down and sold off key aviation assets at World Airways and North American Airlines. Prior to joining Global, Mr. Garrett was employed by MatlinPatterson Global Advisers LLC, a private equity fund with over $9 billion in investments, where he provided senior advisory and restructuring management services to its international aviation investments. Mr. Garrett served as the Chief Operating Officer and previously the Chief Financial Officer of Gemini Air Cargo, an international cargo airline operating wide-body, freighter aircraft primarily under ACMI contracts. Mr. Garrett served as the Chief Financial Officer of Vanguard Airlines, Inc., a U.S. domestic passenger airline. Prior to entering the airline industry, Mr. Garrett spent nine years in “Big 4” public accounting.  Mr. Garrett holds a BS in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington and Lee University.

Duncan J. McNabb

USAF GENERAL (RETIRED)


Gen. Duncan J. McNabb is the former commander, United States Transportation Command. USTRANSCOM is the single manager for global air, land and sea transportation for the Department of Defense (DOD).  Gen McNabb had command over $56B in strategic transportation assets, 150,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines and civilians, and a worldwide command and control network.  He also served as DOD’s Distribution Process Owner, overseeing DOD’s end to end supply chain, transportation and distribution to our forces worldwide.

Gen. McNabb graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1974. A command pilot, he amassed more than 5,600 flying hours in transport and rotary wing aircraft and held command and staff positions at squadron, group, wing, USAF major command and Department of Defense levels. 

In his most recent assignments, General McNabb served as the USAF Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans and Programs and had responsibility for all Air Force Programs and over $500B in funding over the five year defense plan (FYDP).  He then served as Director for Logistics on the Joint Staff and was responsible for operational logistics and strategic mobility support to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Secretary of Defense.  He then commanded the USAF Air Mobility Command and led 134,000 airmen in providing rapid global mobility, aerial refueling, special airlift and aeromedical evacuation for America’s armed forces.  Before his final command at USTRANSCOM, Gen. McNabb served as the 33rd Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force.

Gen McNabb is a co-founder and managing partner of Ares Mobility Solutions.  He also currently serves on a number of public, private, and non-profit boards and is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings, is on the Air University Board of Visitors, and is Chairman of the Logistics Division of the National Defense Industrial Association.


 

Jean-Peter Jansen

Former Chairman of the Executive Board, Lufthansa Cargo AG

Jean-Peter Jansen was born in Hamburg on May 5, 1950. He studied business administration in Hamburg and Münster. He is married and lives in Hamburg, Germany.

Jansen started his aviation career at Lufthansa in 1976. He held several senior management positions within the Lufthansa Group: in the technical division, the passenger airline and the corporate headquarter of the CFO.

His main positions were linked to purchasing and fleet-management. He was head of corporate purchasing including aircraft acquisition and fleet asset management including all supplier selection before he became a member of the Lufthansa Cargo Executive Board.

The Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Cargo AG appointed Jean-Peter Jansen to the Lufthansa Cargo Executive Board with responsibility for logistics and production in January 1999. He became Lufthansa Cargo Chairman on May 1, 2000. This position was carried out until April 2006, when he stepped down as Chairman. Since then he has been working as an aviation consultant.
